Meadow Garden (Augusta, Georgia)
Meadow Garden, is a historic house museum in Augusta, Georgia. It was home of George Walton, one of Georgia's three signers of the U.S. Declaration of Independence, and later a governor of Georgia and a U.S. senator. Meadow Garden was saved and established by the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1901.
It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1976.〔〔Note: A National Register of Historic Places Inventory-Nomination document should be available upon request from the National Park Service for this site, but it appears not to be available on-line from the (NPS Focus search site ).〕
